Basic workflow
This guide takes you from your first login to having a functional library with imported, organized, and easily searchable assets. Follow these steps in order the first time you use Key Light.
Workflow overview
Key Light’s workflow follows a simple, repeatable cycle: import your assets, organize them, tag them, and then quickly find them whenever you need them. Every time you add new resources to your library, you go through the same process.
Iniciar sesión → Importar assets → Organizar → Etiquetar → Buscar y usar

- Splash screen
Key Light displays a startup screen while loading its internal services. This may take a few seconds on first launch. - Enter your credentials
On the login screen, enter your username or email and password. If you forgot your password, use the “Forgot password?” link to recover it. - Access the app
Click Login. If this is your first session, your library will be empty and the content area will show a welcome message. If you already have assets, they’ll load automatically.

Quick orientation before importing
Before importing assets, take a moment to identify Key Light’s five main areas:
- Vertical toolbar (left)
Contains access to modules like Flux, Iris, Backup, and the Trash. It can be hidden with Ctrl+T. - Assets Manager (left-center panel)
Your navigation tree. It has three tabs: Projects, Assets, and Key Light Pro. This is where you create categories and browse your library. It can be hidden with Ctrl+D. - Content area (center)
The main workspace. Displays assets from the selected category in a thumbnail grid. Includes the search bar at the top. - Details panel (right)
Shows full information for the selected asset: preview, metadata, tags, and related assets. It can be hidden with Ctrl+P. - Focus Mode
Press Ctrl+Space to hide all panels except the content area—useful when you need maximum space to view your library.
An asset’s physical file is never modified, moved, or deleted by Key Light. All actions (delete, restore) only affect the library’s internal records.
